Ajman Chamber Launched Transformative CSR and Sustainability Program to Empower Businesses for Community Impact
Ajman, UAE – The Ajman Chamber of Commerce spearheaded a new era of corporate responsibility with the launch of its ambitious CSR and sustainability program, aimed at driving meaningful change in the UAE’s private sector. This initiative united 25 participants from diverse sectors, including local businesses and institutions, to design and implement projects that created lasting, positive impacts on the community.
The program kicked off in February 2024 and ran through June, offering a comprehensive journey of hands-on training, mentorship from seasoned CSR professionals, and structured project development. The program culminated in June with the Ajman Sustainability and CSR Summit, where top projects were showcased and celebrated, providing a platform for participants to demonstrate their achievements and inspire broader change.
The program was structured in three key phases. It began with an intensive workshop series covering essential CSR principles, best practices in sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals, and strategies for social business development. Led by industry experts like Lina Hourani and Ashraf Tawakkol, the sessions offered both local and international perspectives.
During a two-month pilot period, teams developed projects focused on diverse areas, including a healthcare recycling initiative, digital literacy programs, mental health support, and environmental conservation efforts. The final phase highlighted these impactful projects, celebrating their contributions to a more sustainable and socially responsible future.
Led by Blue Green, the CSR arm of Kensington Academic Pathways, and backed by a network of esteemed local and global partners, the program set a high standard for corporate responsibility. It positioned Ajman as a leader in sustainable business practices across the UAE and the wider MENA region, emphasizing practical, impactful solutions to meet community needs.
